Kuang Hsu Year 1 (1875) "Hoves" cover from Kiachta Commissioner to
Urga Amban, applied with red seal. The corners featuring drawings
of hooves. Hoof cover got its name from the drwaing of hooves at
the four corners which denotes express delivery by horse. Hoof
cover has a higher level of emergency than ordinary mails but lower
than Bird Covers. However, the rarity is equally impeccable.
