Scarce double-registered combination franking example. 1898.10.18 廣州寄天津。雙掛號紅條封，背貼日本版蟠龍4分雙連 + 蟠龍5分x2 + 1角，合2角8分，銷廣州大圓戳、 R章及帶圈RR章，旁鈐“掛號信件”漢英橫戳。出色之雙掛號並混貼日本版倫敦版蟠龍例子。

1898 Whampoa (Dec) to Germany. Picture postcard, applied with “IMPERIAL POST OFFICE / WHAMPOA” handfilled cds., alongside with Canton Dollar cds (30 Dec). F.w. Hong Kong QV 4c, tied by Hong Kong (31 Dec) cds. Arrived Hamburg (29 Jan). Very late usage of this emergency Whampoa cds as dollar cds was already available since Jun or Jul 1897. One similar PPC also dated Dec 1898 was hammered at HKD18,000 in Mar 2024 AVA Auctions. 1898.12 黃埔寄德國。圖片明信片，鈐“IMPERIAL POST OFFICE / WHAMPOA”黃埔手填英文圓戳，旁鈐12.30廣州大圓戳。貼香港維多利亞女皇像4仙，銷12.31日戳。1.29抵漢堡。由於大圓戳在1897年六七月已開始使用，此臨時英文戳理應停用良久，為極晚例子。2024年3月艾華春拍曾出售一件同月之相似例子，落槌價18,000港元。
