1847 (7 Aug) entire letter written by Russell Sturgis in Manilla to Sammuel W Comstock, care of Russell & Co., Canton, sent “via Pangasuran”. Applied with scarce type 1-4-2 “CORREIO / MACAO / MARITIMO” cachet. Cover no. 589 in Choi Cheong Too’s survey of postal history of Macau 1616-1891. Choi stated that only ten letters recorded with type 1-4-2 postmark.

1847.8.7 由Russell Sturgis自馬尼拉經寄廣州旗昌洋行交Sammuel W Comstock。郵簡，寫有“via Pangasuran”字樣，鈐少見之1-4-2型“CORREIO MACAO MARITIMO”橢圓形戳記。蔡昌道“1916年至1891年澳門郵票發行前郵政史調查與紀錄”中之第589件封。鈐1-4-2型戳記之信件，蔡昌道記錄僅有十件。
