SPEZIA, Italy to Shanghai, redirected to Tangku, China 17 October 1908, Italy postal stationery card with 10-cents indicium, addressed to Imperiali Poste Cinesi, Shanghai, Cina, cancelled by two SPEZIA datestamp, adjacent to it cancelled by German P.O. in Shanghai "SCHANGHAI a DEUTSCHE POST/22/11 05", after entering into China through German P.O. in Shanghai, transferred to Shanghai Local Post (NOV 23/05), and then Chinese P.O. The address was crossed out and replaced by Tangku, and hence the card directed to the Northern part in China. A very fine quality Italian postal stationery card.義大利斯佩齊亞(SPEZIA)寄上海後改轉塘沽中國 1908年10月17日,一張義大利郵政明信片(附有10分面值印刷郵資),寄往中國上海之「中國帝國郵政(Imperiali Poste Cinesi)」,由斯佩齊亞(SPEZIA)寄出,蓋有兩枚“SPEZIA”日戳:旁見德國駐華郵局上海戳記「SCHANGHAI a DEUTSCHE POST/22/11 05」,表示該明信片自德國郵政系統進入中國。之後,此卡轉交上海本地郵政局,蓋「NOV 23/05」上海本埠日戳,再由本地郵局轉交中國官辦郵政。原本的收件地址被劃去,改寫為塘沽(TangKu),明信片遂轉往中國北部地區投遞。此為義大利郵政明信片保存佳。

Cancelled by clear HELSINGFORS 24/1/86 cds, with bold Russian transit in black, showing С.-ПЕТЕРБУРГЪ / 13 ЯНВ. / 1886 / 5. ЭК. (St. Petersburg, 13 Jan 1886 Julian calendar = 25 Jan Gregorian), indicating it passed through Russia en route. Transit Hong Kong with MR 7/86 cds on reverse. During 1880s this Russia route is highly unusual compared to Marseilles or Triest. Rare thus. 1886.1.24 芬蘭寄煙台明信片。先經俄國南下香港，再北轉至煙台。相比起經馬賽或Triest至山東的常見郵路，此片郵路獨特少見，實在難得。

"SAIGON-CENTRAL/24 AOUT 93".澳洲雪梨寄上海後轉寄西貢-1893年新南威爾士萬國郵聯明信片 1893年7月7日,一張新南威爾士發行之1-1/2便士藍色萬國郵聯(UPU)明信片,由澳洲雪梨(Sydney)寄往中國上海,後轉寄至越南西貢(Saigon)。正面蓋有雪梨雙圈日戳「SYDNEY/JY7/93」及格線數字銷戳。背面則蓋有三個清晰的轉運與到達戳記:香港中轉戰「HONG-KONG/A/AU 1/ 93」;上海英國郵局到達戳「SHANGHAI/C/AU4/93」:法屬西貢中央郵局戳記 SAIGON-CENTRAL/24 AOUT 93」。此件為澳洲早期寄亞洲的萬國郵聯明信片,因收件人已離開上海而轉寄至法屬印度支那之西貢,展示了19世紀末國際郵件在亞洲區內的再投遞情況。

St. Helena to Germany and China - Boer War POW Postcard Intended for German Naval Forces in Tsingtau 25 July 1900, a 1d red postal stationery card of St. Helena, cancelled by a crisp "ST. HELENA /JY 28/00" c.d.s., sent from the Boer War prisoner-of-war camp on the island. The card bears a prominent "CENSOR / PRISONERS OF WAR" cachet and was carried via Southampton, showing a SHIP LETTER / SOUTHAMPTON / 28 AU 00 transit mark. Addressed to Herr David S. Hirsche, on board S.M.S. Gefion, a German naval cruiser, the original delivery address roughly reads "Tsantau in China" (Tsingtau), which was at the time Germany's leased territory and naval stronghold in East Asia. This line was not crossed out, indicating the card was initially intended to reach "Kiel, Germany" and was later added to Berlin, with a final redirection to Tsantau in China. A German arrival mark KIEL / 29.8.00 confirms its arrival in Germany. The handwritten note at the top references the 1st Seebataillon bound for Tientsin, further linking this card to the German intervention in China during the Boxer Rebellion, making it a rare and historically significant example of Boer War POW mail with direct ties to East Asian military operations
