Carried by Pekin and Achilles respectively.1850年一對新加坡Bonstind & Co寄廣州Benjamin Newton郵簡，分別寫有郵資“4/-”及“1/-”，鈐香港中轉戳。反映了少見難得之四倍郵資及正常郵資，進口自新加坡更為難得。兩封分別經Pekin及Achilles號送遞。

1853 Western style cover from China to USA, rated “44” and “65”, applied with London (20 Jul) and New York transit cds (4 Aug). Illustated in article “Hakodada, Japan June 1855”, “Japanese Philately Vol 47 No. 5” (Dec 1992). As European (except the Dutch) and American were not authorized to trade with Japan until 1859, mail service across the Pacific did not begin until 1867. This mail took Marseilles route and carried by Hindostan and Sultan.1853年西式封自中國寄美國，帶郵資“65”及“44”，鈐倫敦7.20及紐約8.4中轉戳。《Japanese Philately Vol 47 No. 5》中《Hakodada, Japan June 1855》一文原件。由於歐美國家（除荷蘭）直至1859年才可與日本貿易，故跨太平洋郵政服務要到1867年才開通。此信經馬賽航線送遞，船隻為Hindostan及Sultan號。
