1897 Empress Dowager surch small figure 4c/4ca in vertical pair, with double surch variety (Chan 40f), setting.B with interpane margin at left and adjoining single. Unused with large part original gum. Of the one sheet of 40 stamps (double pane) produced with this error, the Agnew collection had a nearly complete pane of nineteen which has been split up, so that today only a block of four remains as the largest multiple (ex Beckeman, Lam Man Yin collections).
