Scamp only recorded 7 covers of this rate and this example pre-dates the record of Scamp. 1844.9.28 廣州寄倫敦Frederick Huth Co.。郵簡，寫有“via Marseilles”及“4/1”郵資，鈐“W&T Edmond & Co”孟買轉運代理戳記及INDIA橢圓形戳記。1.3抵倫敦。少見之錯誤郵資例子，經印度中轉應再加上4便士。Scamp記錄中，此郵資僅見七例，而此例日期比Scamp之記錄更早。

Arrived Edinburgh (3 May). 1sh was for Southampton route rate while 4d for Canton to Hong Kong rate. Rare. This mail was carried by Singapore, Oriental and Bengal. 1853年廣州寄蘇格蘭。郵簡，寫有“via Southampton”及“1/4”郵資，鈐維多利亞船信戳及3.10香港中轉戳。5.2經倫敦，5.3抵愛丁堡。 1先令為修咸頓郵資，4便士為廣州至香港郵資，較少見。此信經Singapore、Oriental及Bengal號送遞。

1853 Canton (24 May) to Shanghai. Consignee entire letter, showing “Consignee per Lady Mary Wood” annotation and Chinese delivery annotation by ink-brush. Given the monopoly of P&O for the extension from Hong Kong to Shanghai, the cost was high and therefore such consignee letters existed. Scarce example of consignee letter and it is the only one carried by Lady Mary Wood. 1853.5.24 廣州寄上海。提單信郵簡，寫有“Consignee per Lady Mary Wood”及中文毛筆批示。由於鐵行輪船公司壟斷香港至上海航線，故郵資甚高，並衍生出這類較便宜之提單信。稀罕難得，更是Lady Mary Wood號所送遞之唯一存世提單信。

Only less than 50 covers with type 1 h.s. were recorded by Webb. This cover was carried by Chusan. 1856.5.23 廣州寄孟買，寫有郵資“4”，正背鈐少見之廣州英局Webb 1型已付圓戳及2型日戳。5.24經香港。6.22抵孟買。封底部分分離。Webb記錄中廣州1型圓戳之存世例子不過五十件。此封由Chusan號送遞。
