1936 (17 Feb) “Courtesy Air Flight” cover to Amoy, returned to Hong Kong, f.w. Silver Jubilee complete set, tied by Hong Kong Air Mail cds. Arrived Amoy (24 Feb). Returned to Hong Kong (29 Feb). In Feb 1936, special first-flight airmail covers were carried on “courtesy flights” from Hong Kong to Kobe, Japan, utilizing RAF aircraft. These flights acted as diplomatic and exploratory goodwill missions along the Asian coast, routing through China.
