1894 Chefoo (27 Nov) to France. Registered cover, full postage paid by cash and f.w. Small Dragon 5ca for postage between Shanghai LPO and Customs Post (overpayment as 5ca was registered rate). Applied with Chefoo LPO origin cds on reverse. In combination with Hong Kong QV 5c in pair + surch 20c/30c by Shanghai LPO with "PAID" cachet. Then the cover was handed from Shangnhai LPO to Customs Post with scarce "REGISTERED" horizotnal h.s. Hong Kong stamps tied by Shanghai BPO (30 Nov) cds. Arrived Paris. Extraordinary joint delivery by local post, Customs and British Post. Usage of Small Dragon in this manner is also highly unusual. 1894.11.27 煙台寄法國。掛號封，寄件人以現金付全額郵資，再貼小龍5分銀付工部局至海關郵資（5分銀為掛號郵資，故溢貼）。背鈐煙台書信館始發日戳。到上海工部局後加貼香港維多利亞女皇像5仙雙連 + 改值20仙，另見“PAID”橫戳。再由工部郵局交海關郵政，鈐“REGISTERED”橫戳。香港票銷上海英局11.30日戳。抵巴黎。經大清、工部及英國客郵三方聯合投遞之例子，貼小龍票更是精彩難得。

1896 (29 Dec.) registered cover front only, to France via Shanghai, showing “Chinese Imperial Post Office/ Peking/ Postage Paid” triple-ring bilingual h.s. in blue, matching “I.G. of Customs/Peking” double-ring origin d.s and ‘registered’ handstamp; also bearing France “Chine” 1f cancelled by “Shang-hai/Chine” c.d.s. (15.1.97) with ‘R’ handstamp. Transit Ligne N (16.1). Front only, Berteaux correspondence, nevertheless very early date for this first postage paid handstamp of the Imperial Chinese Post. 1896.12.29掛號封封面，自北京寄法國，鈐 “信力已付” 三圈圓戳、北京海關始發日戳及REGISTERED橫戳。加貼法國客郵1法郎，銷1.15上海法局日戳，另見R章。1.16經郵船N線。Berteaux書信。乃“信力已付”三圈圓戳之極早例子。

Transit Shanghai Chinese PO (5 Mar). In combination with Hong Kong QV 10c on front, tied by Shanghai BPO (6 Mar). Further transit Hong Kong (10 Mar), French paquebot (11 Mar). Nice franking of Empress Dowager variety stamp. The usage of Ningpo Dollar cds is also rather late as the latest record was Apr 1899. 1899.3.4 寧波寄法國，背貼慈壽加蓋小字4分直雙連（上方一枚帶“4”字為3.5毫米長距變異；陳目40c）+ 半分過橋橫雙連 + 1分，銷寧波大圓戳。3.5經上海清郵。加貼香港維多利亞女皇像10仙，銷上海英局3.6日戳。3.10經香港，3.11經法國郵船。貼用加蓋變異票十分出色難得，同為寧波大圓戳之較晚例子（最晚為1899年4月）。
