Cover opened out for display. Rough edges. There were 3 periods of
airmail postage in Northeast in 1946 among which the effective date
of the 2nd period started from Feb but the exact day is unknown and
the earliest record by Mak Kwok Pui was 14 Feb. This one, is
probably an earlier example of the 2nd period (domestic registered
airmail letter rate $6 + $1 overpayment). Also, Mak did not record
any example of the 1st period. Hence, it is a very early example of
post-WWII airmail in Northeast, if not the earliest.

錦州寄瀘縣。航空封，背貼滿洲國改值中華民國1元x7，銷錦州日式戳。2.8經重慶。2.13抵四川。封剖開以作展示，邊緣磨損。1946年東北地區的航空郵資共有三期，當中第二期於2月起生效，但具體日期不詳。麥國培記錄最早為2月14日，此封應為更早的例子（國內掛號航空郵資6元
+ 溢貼1元）。而麥國培亦未見任何第一期之實物例子，可見此為極早之解放後東北空郵。
