One of a few examples of this rare cachet. 1946.8.26 英國寄哈爾濱，退回寄件人，貼佐治六世1便士橫三連，銷Southend-On-Sea機戳，旁鈐“Mail route to destination blockadedm return to sender”退回指示戳。在1946年4月，中共已控制哈爾濱。該退回指示戳僅見數例存世。

Chengkiatun was later re-occupied by KMT in May 1946 and finally re-liberated in May 1947. 1946.5.24 北安寄鄭家屯，貼滿洲國票改值1元蓋2分，銷北安日式戳。內附收據。北安於1945年11月14日解放，鄭家屯則為1945年12月。但鄭家屯於1946年5月被國民黨重新佔領，直至1947年5月再次解放。

1946 Chinchow (3 Feb) to Luhsien. Airmail registered cover, f.w. Manchukuo surch ROC $1 x7 on reverse, tied by Chinhsien Japanese style cds. Transit Chungking (8 Feb). Arrived Szechuan (13 Feb). Cover opened out for display. Rough edges. There were 3 periods of airmail postage in Northeast in 1946 among which the effective date of the 2nd period started from Feb but the exact day is unknown and the earliest record by Mak Kwok Pui was 14 Feb. This one, is probably an earlier example of the 2nd period (domestic registered airmail letter rate $6 + $1 overpayment). Also, Mak did not record any example of the 1st period. Hence, it is a very early example of post-WWII airmail in Northeast, if not the earliest. 1946.2.3 錦州寄瀘縣。航空封，背貼滿洲國改值中華民國1元x7，銷錦州日式戳。2.8經重慶。2.13抵四川。封剖開以作展示，邊緣磨損。1946年東北地區的航空郵資共有三期，當中第二期於2月起生效，但具體日期不詳。麥國培記錄最早為2月14日，此封應為更早的例子（國內掛號航空郵資6元 + 溢貼1元）。而麥國培亦未見任何第一期之實物例子，可見此為極早之解放後東北空郵。
