A collection of Swatow BPO Webb type E star cds dated 1900,
containing two Hong Kong QV used stamps and one stationery card to
Hong Kong, all showcasing short year digit “00”. Webb stated that
there was a shortage of the figure 00, therefore the year digits on
the cds was actually modified from the figure 88 by removing the
tops off. That’s why the year digits 00 are particularly short on
this cds.
一組1900年汕頭英局Webb E型星號日戳集藏，包含兩枚香港維多利亞女皇像舊票及一件寄香港郵資片，日
戳年份“00”較矮小。Webb指當時缺乏“00”的郵戳字粒，故將“88”的上圈移除改作00使用，故此戳的00字體尤其矮小。
