Peking PO d.s. Transit Shanghai Chinese PO (22 Mar). In combination
with Hong Kong QV surch 20c/30c, tied by Shanghai BPO (25 Mar) cds.
Cover missent to Canton (29 Mar) with scarce "MISSENT TO
CANTON"cachet. Mistake was discovered by staff in Canton and
redirected to Manila (7 Apr). Webb did not record this "MISSENT TO
CANTON" marking while it is one of the four examples recorded by
Dr. Andrew Cheung among which it is the earliest.

美國駐北京使館封寄馬尼拉Cavite，誤寄廣州，貼蟠龍2角，銷北京郵政局橢圓形日戳。3.22經上海清郵。加貼香港維多利亞女皇像改值20仙蓋30仙，銷上海英局3.25日戳。誤寄廣州，於3.29抵達，鈐少見之“MISSENT
TO CANTON”橫戳。廣州郵局發現錯誤，改寄馬尼拉，於4.7抵達。
Webb未有記載此誤寄橫戳。而張文德醫生則記錄四件，此為當中日期最早者。
