China. Very interesting and historical. Chen Cheng served as the
Governor of Taiwan Province and Taiwan Provincial Garrison Command
since KMT retreated to Taiwan. He was also the one who enacted the
"Declaration of Martial Law in Taiwan Province" which begann the
decades long White Terror era.
1961.6.12 一份處名陳誠之行政院用箋，內容為鼓勵軍民奮發，以解救大陸同胞。極具歷史意義。
在國民黨撤退至台灣後，陳誠就任台灣省主席兼台灣警備總司令部總司令，並於1949年5月19日頒佈《臺灣省戒嚴令》，開啟了長達數十年之白色恐怖時期。

that he had still very close liaison with ROC (Taiwan) after the
establishment of PRC.
1960年代一組超過五十件余兆麒書信，當中大部份為中國聯合銀行信箋。從內容可見，在國民黨撤退至台灣後，余與國民黨的關係仍非常緊密。不論對台灣或香港歷史研究者而言都別具意義。
余兆麒為中華民國陸軍中將，在二戰後創立中國聯合銀行。
