1876 Haiphong (3 Feb) to France. Registered cover, f.w. Ceres imperf 5c in strip of 4 + 40c x2, tied by "CCH" dimaond obliterator and very scarce Haiphong handfilled Desrousseaux type C cds, along with R mark. Arrived Paris (16 Mar). This provisional d.s. was used for only a few months before the arrivacl of d.s. ordered from France. Desrousseaux did not record any example of Haiphong.

1876.2.3 海防寄法國。掛號封，貼五穀女神無齒5生丁橫四連 + 40生丁x2，銷“CCH”藍色菱形殺手戳及極罕之海防Desrousseaux C型手填日戳，另見R章。3.16抵巴黎。這款臨時日戳用於從法國訂購的郵戳抵達之前，故僅使用數月。Desrousseaux未見出自海防的存世例子。
