1879 Macao (10 Apr) to USA. Registered cover, applied with Macao type 3-3-2 single ringed index B cds and framed "REGISTADA" marking (handfilled no.9) . In combination with Hong Kong QV 12c + 8c, tied by B62 obliterator, alongside with Hong Kong (11 Apr) cds. Transit London (19 May). Arrived New York (31 May). Rough edges and monting remnant on reverse. It is the earliest record of "REGISTADA" mark. Macao type 3-3-2 cds is also scarce as Choi Cheong Too only recorded 15 covers and postcards. Ex- F. Mayer.
