1850s a group of 3 Dutch East Indies Qiaopi bulk mail covers, from Reside Madion or Toeban to Rembang, with oval “FRANCO” postmarks. Chinese immigrants living in the small towns had to remit the money to Rembang first where the Qiaopiju remitted to money to China. A nice group of early Qiaopi postal history.
