1902 Mengtsz (6 Dec) to France. Red band cover, f.w. Coiling Dragon 10c, tied by Mengtsz bisected bilingual cds. Transit Mongtsz French PO (8 Dec), Laokay (13 Dec), Hanoi (22 Dec). Arrived Aube (28 Jan). According to Lee Chung Ping, combination franking was still required by French Indochina Post after 1902, probably until Oct 1902. Early example without combination franking.

1902.12.6 蒙自寄法國。紅條封，貼蟠龍1角，銷蒙自半切漢英日戳。12.8經蒙自法局，12.13經老街，12.22經河內。1.18抵Aube。按李頌平《客郵外史》記載，印支郵局與在華法國客郵局不同，在1902年後仍需混貼，按存世例子推斷應維持至同年十月。此為毋需混貼後之早期例子。
