1898 Hong Kong QV 8th surch 10c/30c with Chinese character in block of 9 with top right corner margin and plate number. (Yang 54). The middle row stamps with double overprint variety while the right column with widely spaced “10” variey, which means the middle right stamps with two varieties together. MNH with original gum. Exceptional variety block. With R N Gurevitch certificate of the original block of 36. Ex- Alfred Chu. The original block of 36 was the largest multiples of double overprint of all stamp issues in Hong Kong. In 1998, Alfred Chu won Wilde Cup with this block of 36.

1898年香港維多利亞女皇像第八組加蓋票10仙蓋30仙九方連新，帶右上直角邊及版號（楊目54），中間橫行帶加蓋複蓋變異，右直行帶有數字“10”較闊變異，故中右一枚集以上兩款變異於一身。原膠無貼。出類拔萃的變異方連。附有原來三十六方連之R N Gurevitch證書。Alfred Chu舊藏。其原來之三十六方連曾為香港郵票中，帶有加蓋複蓋變異之最大方連。Alfred Chu於1998年憑此方連榮獲Wilde Cup。
