1898 Hong Kong (16 May) to USA, f.w. Hong Kong QV 5c in pair, tied by Hong Kong cds, matching with US Consulate Hong Kong oval marking on reverse. Showing "Ship Mail USS Concord Manila" annotation. Transit Vancouver (8 Jun). Arrived Chattanooga (13 Jun). In May 1898, the Battle of Manila broke out. Mails from American ships were delivered to US Consulate Hong Kong for forwarding to USA. Gibraltar to H.M.S. Peacock, redirected to Singapore - Taxed Naval Mail with Multiple Hong Kong Index Codes 14 December 1893, a cover addressed to Surgeon D'Arcy Hawley, H.M.S. Peacock, "China", bearing Gibraltar 25c blue adhesive (Spanish currency issue), cancelled by Gibraltar c.d.s. "GIBRALTAR/A/DE 14/93" and barred numeral "2". Front shows boxed "T" handstamp indicating underpayment under UPU rules, with manuscript "1/-" (1 shilling due) and "6" (pence) in blue crayon - the latter representing the amount chargeable to the addressee. The short payment likely stemmed from use of the Spanish currency stamp rather than British-value postage. The destination "China" was later redirected to Singapore, likely following the fleet's movement. Reverse bears three Hong Kong c.d.s. (JA 25/94) with index letters B, C, and D, reflecting multiple internal processing stages at the Hong Kong General Post Office-possibly due to redirection handling at various time slot and postal officers on the date of 25 JAN 1894 to look for appropriate steamer to ship the mail to Singapore at the soonest. A scarce taxed naval cover with postal and maritime interest, combining currency discrepancy, UPU taxation, and rare multiple index strikes.

Transit Calcutta (1 Jun), Arrived Lahore (25 Jun), forwarded to Lahore DLO (25 Jun). Redirected to Bombay DLO (1 Aug). Proud stated that this type of marking was used on official mail for addressee in Hong Kong or other treaty ports in batches of not less than ten of uniform size and weight.1895.5.11 OHMS封自香港寄印度，無貼票，鈐香港日戳及Webb X型 / Proud PD23“PAID”紅色圓戳。6.1經加爾各答。6.25抵Lahore，6.25轉至Lahore死信局。8.1抵孟買死信局。Proud指此戳用於寄香港或其他商埠，內含不少於十件相同重量及尺寸郵件之總包。

Arrived Harbin (29 Dec).1934年日本1錢5分郵資片於船上投遞寄上海，退回日本改寄哈爾濱，鈐PAQUEBOT橫戳。12.14抵上海後因東北撤郵而退回日本。12.29改寄哈爾濱。

19303.5.20 Mukden to Tientsin. f.w. Japan 3 sen and China 4c stamps, paying both Japanese and Chinese rate according to Convention. According to Sino-Japanese Postal Convention, Japanese posts in South Manchuria Railway territory were retained (while other offices ceased operation), but their mails to China were required to affix with both Chinese and Japanese stamps. This was followed, but in 1932 Chinese tariff was raised from 4c to 5c hence a doubling of penalty was levied, hence the postage due. Many senders used this loophole to circumvent the postal embargo.1933.5.20奉天寄天津，貼日郵4錢和帆船2x 2分郵票，依中日郵政協定，1922年日本在內地客郵撤銷之後，在南滿日本郵局不撤銷，但寄中國各地信件需同時貼中國郵票支付國內郵資，據此，即使中華郵政對東北斷郵，也有義務投遞從南滿日局發出的符資郵件，不少人以此繞開斷郵；但由於當時關內郵資已從4分調整為5分，欠資1分罰雙倍，故加貼了欠資郵票。
