1938 65th Infantry Division “”Granatieri di Savoia”” from Shanghai to Genova, f.w. Italian stamp x8, tied by scarce and neat “”REGIE POSTE / COMANDO / BATT. GRANATIERI SAVOIA / IN ESTREMO-ORIENTE”” oval h.s. in violet. During the Second Sino-Japanese War Italy dispatched the I Grenadier Battalion of the 10th Regiment to China on 23 August 1937 to help guard the Shanghai International Settlement during the Battle of Shanghai. The battalion returned to Addis Ababa on 28 December 1938938年意大利第65步兵師“Granatieri di Davoia”自上海寄熱那亞，貼意大利票8枚，銷稀罕之“REGIE POSTE / COMANDO / BATT. GRANATIERI SAVOIA / IN ESTREMO-ORIENTE”橢圓形戳記。淞滬會戰期間，意大利於1937年8月23日派出一個營保護上海意租界，後來於1938年12月28日返回埃塞俄比亞。

In 1925, Libia was deployed to China, where she remained for nearly a decade.1927.10.28 意軍巡洋艦Libia號自上海寄羅馬，貼Leoni 10分 + Michetti 40分，銷“R. NAVE / LIBIA” II型日戳。Libia號於1925年派駐中國，並逗留近十年。

1932 Italian minelayer Lepanto to Naval Post Office, Rome, frankless, applied with scarce “RR POSTE R.C.T. ESPERO” oval h.s, matching with “R.C.T. ESPERO” circular seal. Arrived Rome (9 Jul). Lepanto was in Italian service in the far east until 1943, when she was scuttled in China, during World War II. She was then recovered by the Imperial Japanese Navy and taken into service as Okitsu. She was surrendered to the Republic of China after the end of the war and served for a further ten years with its navy as the Hsien Ning.1932年意大利佈雷船Lepanto號寄羅馬海軍郵局，無貼票，鈐少見之“RR POSTE R.C.T. Transit Yokohama (19 Sep), San Francisco (4 Oct). Arrived Boston (12 Oct). Extremely rare usage of IJPA Foochow which was closed in 1883. 2023 (Jul) AVA Auctions, lot 1704, hammered at HKD20,000. Ex- Steve Chazen. 1880年福州寄美國，鈐極珍罕之福州日本郵政代理紫色圓戳。貼日本小判5錢，銷黑色空十字形殺手戳，另鈐上海日本郵政代理9.9日戳。9.19經橫濱，10.4經三藩市。10.12抵波士頓。福州日本郵政代理的例子極罕，該局在1883年關閉。2023.7 艾華拍賣，拍品號1704，以港幣2萬元落鎚。蔡盛舊藏。

Transit Yokohama (7 Jan), Napoli (22 Jan). Arrived Rome with oval handfilled company d.s. (12 Feb). The uncancelled Hong Kong stamps were not recognized as valid postage upon arrival at Italy. T mark and "0.50" due annotation were applied. In combination with Italian 50c postage due stamp in pair for double due amount. Exceptional taxed example due to the closure of British Post in Japan. Extremely scarce.1886.1.1 長崎寄意大利，貼香港維多利亞女皇像10仙雙連，但由於長崎英國客郵局於1879年已關閉，故無蓋銷。背面蓋有長崎日本郵局始發日戳。1.7經橫濱，1.22經拿坡里。2.12抵羅馬，鈐手填橢圓形公司日戳。由於香港票未有蓋銷，故不獲意大利郵政承認，被判為欠資。蓋有T章及寫有欠資“0.50”字樣，貼意大利欠資票50分雙連，以合雙倍罰資。因英國在日客郵局關閉而產生之欠資票，極為有趣難得。
