The Shanghai Volunteer Corps was a multinational volunteer force controlled by the Shanghai Municipal Council. The Battle of Shanghai lasted from August 13, 1937, to November 26, 1937. A nice pair before and after the battle.937.6.28及11.30一對英軍1局（上海）寄英國封，貼多枚佐治六世票，銷英軍1局日戳。前者帶掛號標籤。淞滬會戰爆發於1937年8月13日至1月26日，一對日期為戰役前後之例子。

On front with “F.30” accountancy mark. Arrived Thurn und Taxis private PO. This Swatow Direcks & Co. forwarding agent oval is very scarce with only about 5 examples known. Addressing to Thurn and Taxis even elevates the piece. 1864年汕頭寄德國，背鈐珍罕之“FORWARDED BY DIRECKS & Co. SWATOW”橢圓形戳記。經香港，隨後10.8經蘇伊士-馬賽法國郵船。正蓋有F.30計費戳記。抵Thurn and Taxis私人郵局日戳。此Direcks & Co汕頭轉運代理戳十分少見，存世僅約五件。抵Thurn and Taxis更是錦上添花。

Transit Yokohama (7 Jan), Napoli (22 Jan). Arrived Rome with oval handfilled company d.s. (12 Feb). The uncancelled Hong Kong stamps were not recognized as valid postage upon arrival at Italy. T mark and "0.50" due annotation were applied. In combination with Italian 50c postage due stamp in pair for double due amount. Exceptional taxed example due to the closure of British Post in Japan. Extremely scarce.1886.1.1 長崎寄意大利，貼香港維多利亞女皇像10仙雙連，但由於長崎英國客郵局於1879年已關閉，故無蓋銷。背面蓋有長崎日本郵局始發日戳。1.7經橫濱，1.22經拿坡里。2.12抵羅馬，鈐手填橢圓形公司日戳。由於香港票未有蓋銷，故不獲意大利郵政承認，被判為欠資。蓋有T章及寫有欠資“0.50”字樣，貼意大利欠資票50分雙連，以合雙倍罰資。因英國在日客郵局關閉而產生之欠資票，極為有趣難得。

Webb only recorded one example of this missent h.s. on a 1881 cover from Spain to Bombay.1883.12.10 意大利明信片寄埃及，誤寄橫濱，銷Nocera Inferiore日戳及“Fratelli Rossi”橢圓形戳記。1.26誤抵橫濱，鈐“MISSENT TO YOKOHAMA JAPAN”橫戳。改寄回亞歷山大，2.4經香港，3.3經蘇伊士。有趣難得。此誤寄橫戳於Webb記錄中僅見一件1881年例子。

Incoming mails to Hong Kong are extremely scarce. 1885.6.7 黑爾戈蘭島10芬尼郵資片寄海南，鈐黑爾戈蘭島日戳。6.12經布林迪西。蓋有7.12檳城-香港及新加坡至香港Webb 3號海上分揀戳。黑爾戈蘭島是北海東部的小型群島，進口香港之郵例可遇不可求。
