The 1874 Macao typhoon, which struck on September 22–23, is considered the most devastating natural disaster in the city's history, causing nearly 5,000 deaths and widespread destruction“澳門船隻Concordia於1874年澳門颱風後擱淺於稻田上”之圖片明信片，未使用。甲戌風災發生在1874年9月22日到23日。澳門約有5,000人死亡，以當年澳門人口約60,000人計，死亡人數之高，亦是澳門史上最多人死亡的風災。

1830s outer warpper to Mrs. Russell Stugirs, Macao, sent “Sylph”. On reverse with scarce “Boat Office 10Cents Macao” type 5-1-1- cancel and Chinese name of the addressee. Choi stated that only 56 letters recorded with type 5-1-1 postmark. “Slyph” departed from Canton to Macao on Satuday since 16 Mar 1835. 1830年代郵簡封套，寄澳門之Russell Sturgis太太，寫有郵船“Sylph”批示，背面鈐少見之“Boat Office 10 Cents Macao”5-1-1型圓戳及“央士撻治”收件人譯音。蔡昌道記錄蓋有5-1-1型戳記之信件僅有56件。Slyph號自1935年3月16日起，逢星期六自澳門出發至廣州。

Entire, sent “Surat”, along with double-ringed “BRITISH GOVERNMENT AGENCY OFFICE / MACAO” type 1-3-1 seal in red and Hong Kong Post Office Webb type 4 “Royal Arms” oval seal. One of the two recorded examples in combination of these two handstamps. Cover No. 464 in “A Survey and Recorded of Pre-Adhesive Period Postal History of Macau 1616-1891” by Choi Cheong Too. One of the 82 covers applied with Royal Arms oval seal recorded by Dr. Andrew Cheung. Illustration fig 87, p. 249 in “Historia e Desenvolvemento dos Correios e das Telecomunicacoes de Macau” Vol. 1 by Luis Virgilio de Brito Frazao. Ex- Glassco, Christopher D’Almada. 1844.3.18菲律賓馬尼拉寄廣州瓊記洋行。郵簡，正面帶有“Surat”郵船字樣、多處郵資字樣、“BRITISHGOVERNMENT AGENCY OFFICE / MACAO” 1-3-1型紅色戳記及橢圓形“香港盾徽”Webb 4型戳記。為蔡昌道記錄中，同時帶有這兩款郵戳的兩件例子之一。蔡昌道《1616至1891年澳門郵票發行前郵政史調查與紀錄》中第464件封。張文德醫生記錄之82件鈐香港盾徽橢圓戳記之信封之一。范笙祿著《澳門郵政與電訊的歷史和發展》第一卷第249頁第87號圖例原件。 Glassco及Christopher D’Almada舊藏。

1844 Manila (22 Jun) to Canton via Macao. Entire letter, rated “2”, applied with “FILIPINAS / Manila” oval d.s. and scarce “MACAO / CORoMARITmo” type 1-2-1 oval h.s. Choi Cheong Too recoded only 15 examples of the type 1-2-1 oval h.s. and this one dated later than his record (10 Feb 1842). Also, it is the only recorded example in combination of FILIPINAS oval cancel and Macao forwarding post mark. An important rarity for Philippines and Macao collectors. With Philatelic Foundation Certificate 1844.6.22 馬尼拉經澳門寄廣州。郵簡，寫有郵資“2”，鈐“FILIPINAS / Manila”橢圓日戳及珍罕之“MACAO / CORoMARITmo”1-2-1型橢圓戳記。蔡昌道記錄，此戳僅見於15件封，而此例日期比蔡昌道之記錄（1842 年2月10日）更晚。難得。同為同時蓋有此菲律賓橢圓戳記之孤例。附證書。
