17 August 1867, an outer cover of entire addressed to MM. Chartron et Monnier, à Shanghai, Chine, franked with a single Empire-Franc Head 80c in red, cancelled by lozenge "556" numeral obliterator together with a France transit c.d.s. "BOURBONNE-LES-BAINS (50) /17 AOUT 67", the reverse side cancelled by Shanghai arrival c.d.s. "SHANG-HAI/7 OCT 67", indicating the use of French packet line for delivery. Based on L.Scamp, this mail was shipped by Messageries Imperiales Eastward paquebot steamers of Said, Cambodge, Dupleix, Phase to Shanghai. A very fine use of lozenge cancellation from France to Shanghai on French Packet Line.1867.8.17 寄上海MM.
