In Oct 1933, the warlord troops in Szechuan formed the "Szechuan Bandits Supression Army" which aimed to eliminate the Red Army in North Szechuan.1934.8.25 “四川剿匪軍”封自梁山寄成都，背貼烈士加蓋限四川貼用1角3分，銷梁山三格英漢日戳。9.2抵成都。1933年10月，劉湘就任四川剿匪總司令，將四川軍閥部隊整編為6路“四川剿匪軍”，旨在圍攻川北紅軍。
