1882 and 1884 a pair of covers from USA to J.C.A. Wingate, US Consulate Foochow, both f.w. US 5c, tied by by obliterator along with cds. Former transit via US Consulate Shanghai while latter via Hong Kong to Foochow BPO. A very interesting pair given the different route of the same correspondence and rate. Also, former applied with US Consulate Shanghai transit cds is also unusual as postmarks with inscriptions "US Postal Agency" was already in use by that time.1882及1884年一對美國寄美國駐福州領事J.C.A. Wingate封，均貼美國票5分，銷殺手戳，另見Stratham日戳。前者經美國駐上海領事館中轉，後者則經香港至福州英局。雖然為年份相近、郵資相同之Wingate書信，但反映了不同郵路，十分有趣。而當時上海美國客郵局早已使用“US Postal Agency”銘文之郵戳，故前者鈐領事館中轉戳亦較少見獨特。
