1861 (15 March) Linen envelope from the “Legation de France en Chine” to Paris (27 April) and redirected, showing superb impression of “VICE CONSULAT DE FRANCE / HONG KONG / eagle image” cachet, with “POSS. ANG. V. SUEZ / A. MARSEILLE A” entry c.d.s. in red color. On reverse side, cancelled by “HONG KONG / C” origin c.d.s. manuscript “36” (decimes) for one oz letter, minor surface faults, a truly very rare example of the Hong Kong French Consular seal that we would not be able to see much others. This French Consulate mail was carried by British P&O packet ligne “PEKIN”, “CANDIA”, “VALETTA” arrived at Marseille on 24 April. Provenance: The “Mosaic” Collection – Aug 20101861.3.15 在華法軍寄法國，鈐“VICE CONSULAT DE FRANCE / HONG KONG”鷹徽圓戳。另見香港始發日戳。這款法國駐港領事圓戳極為珍罕，存世者寥寥可數。2010.8 Mosaic集藏。
