It is the earliest recorded example of Webb type 5 cds.1861.10.24 上海寄法國。郵簡，寫有“via Marseilles”及郵資“9”，鈐少見之本地製上海英局Webb 5型日戳。正面蓋有Webb H型“GB / 1F62-4/10”計費戳記。12.12經馬賽。此為上海英局Webb 5型日戳之最早記錄。

Transit Hong Kong (27 Jan). Arrived Edingburgh (Mar). Webb only recorded two covers with this pair of cancellations while Dr. Andrew Cheung recoroded eight. 1863 England to Shanghai,rediretced to Yokohama. Entire letter, f.w. QV 1sh x5 + 4d for quadruple rate via Marseilles by P&O packet, tied by "2" obliterator with London d.s. Transit Hong Kong (19 Jul). Arrived Shanghai BPO with scarce Webb type 5 locally made "SHANGHAE" cds without date and type A cds. It is the only recorded example of "undated" type 5 cds and the latest record of its type. Bottom right corner damaged but not affecting postmark.1863年英國寄上海，改寄橫濱。郵簡，貼維多利亞女皇像1先令X5 + 4便士，合鐵行輪船公司經馬賽郵路之四倍郵資，銷“2”殺手戳。7.19經香港。抵上海英局，鈐少見難得之本地製Webb 5型日戳（無日期）及A型日戳。此為未植日期之5型日戳存世弧例，同時為最晚之5型日戳記錄。封右下角有損但不影響郵戳。

1864 Ningpo (10 Feb) to Foochow via Shanghai and Hong Kong. Entire letter, rated "7 4 / 11" (7d French packet rate + 4d inter-treaty port rate = 11d), applied with Shanghae BPO Webb type 6 PAID cds and type A cds on the flap. The mail was carried by French packet Hydaspe from Shanghai to Hong Kong (24 Feb) and probably forwarded by P&O Formosa from Hong Kong to Foochow. It is the only recorded inter-treaty port example from Ningpo by French Packet at Shanghai to Hong Kong branch line.1864.2.10 寧波經上海及香港寄福州。郵簡，寫有郵資“7 4 / 11”（7便士法國郵船郵資 + 4便士商埠間郵資，合11便士），鈐上海英局Webb 6型已付日戳及A型日戳。此信先於上海經法國郵船Hydaspe送至香港，再由鐵行輪船公司送至福州。此為自寧波經法國郵船送至香港分支航線之唯一商埠間郵例。

Arrived Shanghai BPO (16 Mar) with Webb type A cds as arrival (reverse index C). It is the earliest recorded type A cds as arrival marking.1862.3.6 香港寄上海。郵簡，寫有郵資“4”合商埠間郵資，鈐香港已付日戳及C字日戳。3.16抵上海英局，鈐Webb A型反C字到達戳。此為A型日戳用作到達戳之最早記錄。

1863 Shanghai (7 Mar) to USA. Cover front only,, f.w. Hong Kong QV 18c + 24c, in total of 42c, tied by Shanghae BPO Webb type A cds and B62 obliterator. Transit London (2 May), Boston (16 May). When adhesive was introduced in Shanghai (probably beginning of 1863), this cds was used to cancel adhesive for several months. B62 was further applied when the mails arrived at Hong Kong. However, this practice ceased due to an order given in Oct 1863 for unknown reason. It is one of the 3 recorded covers using type A cds to cancel adhesive. In Nov 2023, AVA offered a cover from Shanghai to USA with same address which was also applied with type A cds and B62 on QV 24c stamp and was hammered at HKD60,000 (lot 943).1863.3.7 上海寄美國。西式封封面，貼香港維多利亞女皇像18仙 + 24仙，合42仙，銷上海英局Webb A型日戳及B62殺手戳。5.2經倫敦，5.16經波士頓。在1863年初上海郵局開始使用郵票，並以A型日戳銷票。貼票在到達香港後再蓋上B62殺手戳。但在同年十月，此做法因不明原因被下令停止。此為三件以A型日戳銷票之信封之一。 2023年11月，艾華曾出售一件上海寄美國相同地址封，同樣以A型日戳及B62殺手戳銷票，落鎚價6萬港元（拍品號943）。

Webb stated the usage of blue type A cds only lasted for several months in the middle 1865 and was not recorded on cover. 一組三件香港維多利亞女皇像單枚及雙連舊票，銷稀罕之上海英局A型藍色日戳。當中橫雙連為最早使用例子。 Webb指藍色A型日戳僅於1865年的數月內使用，少見難得，且未曾見於信封上。
