A collection of Swatow BPO Webb type E star cds dated 1900, containing two Hong Kong QV used stamps and one stationery card to Hong Kong, all showcasing short year digit “00”. Webb stated that there was a shortage of the figure 00, therefore the year digits on the cds was actually modified from the figure 88 by removing the tops off. That’s why the year digits 00 are particularly short on this cds. 一組1900年汕頭英局Webb E型星號日戳集藏，包含兩枚香港維多利亞女皇像舊票及一件寄香港郵資片，日戳年份“00”較矮小。Webb指當時缺乏“00”的郵戳字粒，故將“88”的上圈移除改作00使用，故此戳的00字體尤其矮小。

Arrived Hoihow BPO (17 Aug) with Webb type E cds. Showing extremely scarce "MISSENT TO HOIHOW" marking on address side. Redirected to Kiaochow via Shanghai Chinese PO (27 Aug). Arrived Tsingtau German PO (5 Sep). It is the only recorded example of the "MISSENT TO HOIHOW" marking.1898.6.25 俄國4戈比郵資片自聖彼得堡寄膠州，誤寄瓊州，鈐圓戳殺手戳及聖彼得堡始發日戳。8.14經香港。8.17抵海口英局，鈐Webb E型日戳及極罕之“MISSENT TO HOIHOW”橫戳。8.27經上海清郵改寄膠州。9.5抵青島德局。此為“MISSENT TO HOIHOW”橫戳之存世孤例。

On 1 Apr 1899, Japanese post raised postcard rate to 1-1/2s while Korean Post rate was 1ch. As the mails between Japan and Korea were applied with domestic rate due to the postal convention, using Korean postcards was 50% cheaper.1901.5.24 大韓帝國藍色1錢郵資片，自濟物浦寄橫濱，銷濟物浦法文日戳。5.30抵橫濱。1899年4月1日，日本郵政上調明信片郵資至1錢五厘，但韓國為5錢。由於往來日韓之郵件採用國內郵資，故使用韓國郵資片便宜一半。
