Webb claimed that type A cds was put in use again during WWI and listed it as the latest recorded usage. However, Dr. Andrew Cheung pointed out that it is actually a transpositiion error between the day and year digits.香港愛德華七世2仙橫雙連，銷天津英局Webb A型III亞型日戳，日期為“OCT 26 / 13”。Webb聲稱A型日戳在一戰期間重新投入使用，並指此為A型日戳之最晚記錄。但張文德醫生認為此戳僅是因年份及日期字粒對掉造成的錯體。有趣。
