Washington 10c with perf shifted variety, tied by type SHA-Can6 cork obliterator, alongside with US Consulate General Shanghai type 1 cds and rare Pacific Mail Steamship Co. “CHINA AND JAPAN STEAM SERVICE” oval h.s. Transit San Francisco (20 Sep). SS Great Republic which departed from Hong Kong picked up US bound mail from Shanghai at Yokoaham and arived San Francisco on 18 Sep. 1869.8.20 上海經郵船Great Republic寄美國，貼華盛頓10分，帶齒孔移位變異，銷SHA-Can6型空十字戳，旁鈐美國駐上海領事館1型日戳及少見之PMSS“CHINA AND JAPAN STEAM SERVICE”橢圓形紅戳。9.20經三藩市。SS Great Republic自香港出發，在橫濱接收上海寄美國之郵件，並於9月18日抵達三藩市。
