As the Jiaqing Emperor refused to support Nepal, Nepal turned to be the vassal state of Britain. 1815年清朝駐藏大臣對廓爾喀國王之回信，明確拒絕介入英廓戰爭及支援廓爾喀。蔡盛及王劍智著《青康藏郵驛史》第69頁圖例8號原件。由於嘉慶拒絕支援，廓爾喀淪為英國附庸並獲得特權。極具歷史意義。
