1905 Paoting Army to Zongli Yamen. Official red band cover, applied with “Peiyang Wenbaoju General PO” origin and “Peiyang Wenbaoju Peking Office” handfilled arrival seal. Flap applied with unrecrorded letter “Pei” seal. On front with gold foil. Luxurious and rare. Probably unique. Cover top left damaged. Front and back partly detached but reinforced. 1905年保定陸軍第四鎮寄總理戶部衙門戴鴻慈。公文紅條封，背面鈐“北洋文報總局”始發及“北洋文報京局”到達手填日期直戳。並以未記錄之“北”字緘印封口。正面灑有金萡，甚為華麗大氣，可能為孤品。封左上角有損，正背面部分分離但被修補加強。

Transit Customs Shanghai (3 Feb). Webb No. 3 cds was only used for a short time. 1892.12.27 瑞士寄德國駐京公使館，貼瑞士25 Franco，銷Avenches日戳，旁鈐ToPay戳記。1.22抵Webb 3號新加坡至香港海上分揀日戳。2.3經上海海關。3號分揀戳使用時間甚短。

Arrived USA (19 Dec). Redirected to Customs Mengtsz via Laokay (9 Oct), Hanoi (10 Oct) and arrived on 27 Oct. Further redirected to Customs Canton via Laokay (3 Nov), Haiphong (9 Nov), Hong Kong (12 Nov). Very interesting and unique mail redirected for twice. 1894.10.1 九龍海關寄美國，改寄蒙自海關，再改寄廣州海關。匯豐銀行封，貼香港維多利亞女皇像5仙 + 10仙，銷九龍海關日戳及香港F字日戳。12.19抵美國。改寄蒙自海關，10.9經老街，10.10經河內，10.27抵達。再改寄廣州海關，11.3經老街，11.9經海防，11.12經香港。二次改寄之獨特有趣例子。

Address crossed by crayon and changed to Shanghai but no Shanghai return cds. Cover opened out for display. 2004 (Dec) Zurich Asia, lot 9. Ex- Anna-Lisa and Sven-Eric Beckeman. 1897.7.5 上海寄漢口，退回上海，鈐稀罕難得之“SHANGHAI CUSTOMS MAIL MATTER”橢圓紅戳，旁鈐上海大圓始發日戳。7.9抵漢口，同樣鈐大圓戳。地址被劃去指示退回上海，但無上海到達戳。封剖開以作展示。2004.12 蘇黎世亞洲，拍品號9。貝克曼伉儷舊藏。
