1908 Mengtsz (6 Jan) to Japan. CIP 3rd Print PSC, uprated by 1/2c, in total of 1-1/2c concessionary rate to Japan, tied by Mengtsz biected bilingual cds. Transit IJPO Shanghai (22 Jan). Arrived Tokyo (27 Jan). Instead of inland route, this mail was sent in mail bag via Yunnan-Indochina Railway to Canton or Shanghai for further forwarding. Hence, international rate was not required. Usage of 3rd PSC is also scarce. Illustration 17, p. 39 in "The Development of Yunnan Post System 1901-1949" by Mah Lang Moe. 1908.1.6 蒙自寄日本。大清第三版郵資片，加貼半分，合1分5厘寄日本特惠郵資，銷蒙自半切漢英日戳。1.22經上海日局。1.27抵東京。此片並未採用內陸郵路，而是採用郵包經火車郵局轉廣州或上海，繼而出口，故亦毋需貼付國際明信片郵資。三次片實寄亦較罕。馬蘭茂著《雲南郵政史1901-1949》第39頁圖17原件。《中華郵聯會刊》第二十四期原件。
