1949 (2 May) OHMS cover from Tengchung to Customs Shanghai. Transit Canton (20 May) but returned to sender due to civil war with cachet. The cover was re-sent from Kunming (20 Jul) with postage paid cachet. Transit Tengchung (27 Sep) and f.w. Yunnan Half-value Silver Yuan 30c in pair for re-addressing to Taiwan. Transit Hoihow (27 Mar). Arrived Keelung (10 Apr). Historical piece witnessing the retreat of KMT to Taiwan.

1949.5.2 OHMS封自騰衝寄上海海關。5.20經廣州但因內戰受阻，鈐退回指示戳。7.20自昆明再寄出，鈐“國內資費已付”日戳。9.27經騰衝，加貼雲南半值銀圓3角雙連以改寄台灣。3.27經海口。4.10抵基隆。可謂見證著國民黨退守台灣之難得郵例。
