1946 Chinchow (22 Jan) to Peiping, f.w. Manchukuo surch ROC $1 in block of 8 on reverse, tied by Chinchow cds. Arrived Peiping (27 Jan). The first period of airmail postage in Northeast in 1946 was effective between 15 Jan to Feb. However, Mak Kwok Pui did not record any existing example. This cover, despite having no "Airmail" annotation, was f.w. correct airmail postage of this period ($1 letter rate + $7 airmail) and was possibly the earliest airmail example in Northeast in 1946.

1946.1.22 錦州寄北平，背貼滿洲國改值中華民國壹圓八方連，銷錦州日戳。1.27抵北平。1946年東北地區的航空郵資共有三期，當中第時期為1月15日至2月，惟麥國培未見任何實物例子。此封雖不見“航空”批示，但貼票符合第一期航空郵資（信函1元 + 航空7元），故有可能為最早之1946年東北空郵
