1941 Hong Kong (1 Dec) to USA but detained during occupation, f.w. KGVI 15c in pair, tied by Hong Kong cds., alongside with “NOT OPENED BY CENSOR”, “RETOUR” and “DETAINED IN HONGKONG BY JAPANESE FROM DECEMBER 1941 TO SEPTEMBER 1945” cachet. On reverse with "China Looks to Us!" Cinderella stamp x3. Delivered after WWII and arrived USA on 16 Oct 1945. Detained mails with arrival cds are much rarer than those without as many detained mails were kept by the PO staff after the war.

1941.12.1 香港寄美國但被扣留，貼佐治六世1角5分雙連，銷香港日戳。鈐“NOT OPENED BY CENSOR”、“RETOUR”及“DETAINED IN HONGKONG BY JAPANESE FROM DECEMBER 1941 TO SEPTEMBER 1945”戳記。背另貼三枚“China Looks to Us”灰姑娘郵票。由於不少扣留郵件在戰後被郵局職員私藏，故帶有戰後到達戳者尤其珍罕。
