Lot 3139

1914 Tihwa (4 May) to Turfan. Large official cover, stated containing 3 letters, f.w. Coiling Dragon London ovpt. ROC 2c x7, in total of 14c triple weight intra-Sinkiang registered rate, tied by Sinkiang Tihwa cds. Arrived Turfan (6 May). Coiling Dragon ovpt. ROC issues were ordered to be withdrawn from usage in Mar 1914 but they were still in use in Sinkiang until May 1915.

1914.8. 迪化寄吐魯番。大型公文封，寫有“內三件”，貼楷字蟠龍2分7枚，合1角4分三倍重量新疆省內掛號郵資，銷迪化府腰框日戳。8.22抵吐魯番。民國蟠龍票於1914年3月已頒令停用，但在新疆則一直使用至1915年5月。
