1903 Shanhaikwan (28 Aug) to Scotland. Registered cover with 30th Punjab Infantry crest, f.w. Coat of Arms 10k in pair, tied by Shanhaikwan Russian PO T&S type 2 cds, alongside with registered label and circled R mark. Transit Chinese Eastern Railway line 262 (1 Sep) with T&S type 1 serial 3 cds. Transit Moscow (15 Sep), London (Oct). Arrived Aberdeen (2 Oct). T&S only recorded Shanhaikwan type 2 cds on one stampless cover as transit. T&S also stated that postal material from line 262 during the early 1900s are also scarce as only a few loose stamps of CER line 261 type 1 cds were recorded.

1903.8.28 山海關寄蘇格蘭。掛號封，出自旁遮普步兵，貼軍徽圖10戈比雙連，銷珍罕少見之山海關俄局T&S 2型日戳，另見掛號標籤及帶圈R章。9.1經中東鐵路262線，鈐T&S 1型3字日戳。9.15經莫斯科，10月經倫敦。10.2抵鴨巴甸。T&S記錄中僅見一件山海關2型日戳蓋於無貼票封上作中轉戳的例子。而1900年代初之中東鐵路262線存世例子亦甚罕，T&S記錄之1型日戳存世例子僅有數枚散票。
