1891 (1 Aug) Cochinchine parcel bill, f.w. French Colonies ovpt. “INDO-CHINE / TIMBRE / COLIS POSTAUX” 10c, tied by Saigon Central cds. French Indochina PO had to collect both postage and stamp duty for parcel and latter was 10c (paid at 2c in local currency) as the stamp shows. Desrousseax stated that the parcel stamp on parcel bill was rarely cancelled. Also, most of these bills were destroyed upon receipt of the parcel. And even those which are lucky enough to survive, are usually damaged during transport. Hence, this very fine example is gathering multiple specialities. 1891.8.1 交趾支那包裹單，貼用法國殖民地加蓋包裹票10生丁，銷西貢中央日戳。當時印支包裹需收取郵資及 印花稅，後者為10生丁（即當地貨幣2生丁），與貼票相符。而Desrousseaux指包裹單之貼票甚少蓋銷。另外， 大多包裹單在送遞完成後便會銷毀，故存世例子甚罕，即使有幸流傳至今者，大多在運送途中留下損傷，故此件 品相上佳者可謂集多項稀罕之處於一身。 Desrousseaeux著《Les Postes et Courriers Francais en Extreme-Orient Livre 3 - Obliterations Civiles des Postes d’Indochine Francaise et Des Bureaux Francais en Chine》第239頁原件。 1982年《Bulletin Col.
