1883 Cantho (10 Aug) to France, f.w. French Colonies 25c, tied by extremely scarce Desrousseaux type A1 "COCHINCHINE / CANTHO" cds. Transit Saigon (18 Aug). Arrived France (18 Sep). This cds was locally made in 1880 in Saigon due to the poor supply of postmarks made in France. Although this postmark should exist for 21 Cochinchinese PO by that time, only one example from Saigon was recorded by Desrousseaux apart from some pieces. A rarity.

1883.8.10芹苴寄法國，貼法國殖民地25生丁，銷極罕之“COCHINCHINE / CANTHO”Desrousseaux A1型日戳。8.18經西貢。9.18抵法國。由於法國製郵戳供應不足，這款西貢製日戳於1880年問世。雖然於交趾支那21家郵局都有使用，但Desrousseaux唯記錄一件西貢寄出之電報例子（另有數件剪片），極為珍罕。
