1884 (9 May) a registered mail sent from Shanghai to Senegal, franked with a pair of 25c yellow French adhesive tied by a double circle “SHANG-HAI CHINE / 9 MAI 84”, red arrival c.d.s. (22 JUIN), a red boxed “R” registered mark. On the reverse, cancelled by a series of transit c.d.s., a large blue circle “Expedition A Giandquilla Shanghai / 9.5.1884”. A good registered mail sent from a French military ship.

1884.5.9 上海寄塞內加爾掛號封，貼25生丁雙連，銷上海法局日戳，另見R章。背鈐“Expedition A Giandquilla Shanghai”圓戳。出色之法軍掛號封。
