1864 (20 May) an entire outer sheet sent from Shanghai to Paris, franked with a non-standard arrival rate mark “18” (double rate) charged locally at arrival, double circled “SHANG-HAI BAU FRANCAIS / 20 MAI 64”, blue double ring oval mark “FIERZ & BACHMANN / SHANGHAI”. A very unusual local rate charge numeral of “18” for French packet mail. The mail was carried by French packet ligne “Hydaspe”, “Donnai”, and “Said”.
