1899 (8 April) a French mail from Hong Kong to Germany endorsed by “PER FRENCH MAIL” printed letter in purple, franked with HKQV 20c ovpt on 30c green, 10c brown red, both tied by French octagonal d.s. of “LIGNE N PAQ. FR. No.4 / 8 AVRIL 99”, HK forwarder cachet “SIEMSSER & CO. HONG KONG” in purple. The mail is sent with late fee 10c. On the reverse side, Bockenem, Germany arrival c.d.s. (7 May). An unusual French mail in use of LIGNE N PAQ. No.4 as the direct cancellation date stamps plus the feature of Late Fee Paid.

1899.4.8 香港寄德國，批注要求經法國郵船，貼20仙 + 10仙，銷法國郵船N線4號日戳。另見Simesser & Co. 洋信局戳。以法國郵船戳銷香港票，並付遞付費用，少見。
