Lot 1141

1912 (31 Oct) and 1913 (18 Apr) a pair of letters from the Postmaster of Gyantse British PO B C Butt to England, stating that the issuance of Tibet stamps was in 1913 instead of Dec 1912. As Dalai Lama returned to Lhasa in the 12th month of Tibetan calendar (i.e. Jan of 1913), some people mistook the issuance of Tibet stamps was in Dec 1912.
