1936 Mountaineering expedition cover to England via Gangtok, frankless. On front with Everest type G handfilled h.s. On reverse with Skkim oval seal and a label explaining the late delivery of the mail. On 6 Jul 1936, the expedition returned to Gangtok and found that all the mails since April were not delivered. Unsent mails were found in the postmaster’s house. He was arrested for stealing mails. He was released in 1937 after appeal. 494 out of 1000 missing mails were retrieved.

1936年登山探險隊封經甘托克寄英國。正面蓋有額峰G型戳記。背面鈐錫金橢圓戳記及貼有一張闡述郵件遲遞之原因。1936年7月6日，登山隊回到甘托克，發現4月以來的郵件無一寄達。支局局長的房子中發現了未寄出的郵件。他隨後因偷取郵件被捕並入獄，在1937年上訴後獲釋。1000件未寄郵件中有494件被追回。
