1870 Yokohama (5 Sep) to Italy. Entire letter, sent "via Brindisi" and rated "6", f.w. Hong Kong QV 8c + 4c, tied by Y1 obliterator in violet, matching with Yokohama BPO cds on reverse. Transit Hong Kong (13 Sep), Brindisi (27 Oct). As 12c was rate to Alexandria only, thus in combination with Italian postage due 60c for onward carriage paid on receipt in Italy, tied by Modovi cds. Ex- Ishikawa.

1870.9.5 橫濱寄意大利。郵簡，寫有“via Brindisi”及“6”郵資，貼香港維多利亞女皇像8仙 + 4仙，銷Y1紫色殺手戳，背蓋有橫濱英局日戳。9.13經香港，10.27經布林迪西。由於12仙僅為寄亞歷山大郵資，故加貼意大利欠資票60分以付餘款，銷Modovi到達戳。
