1883 Shanghai (17 Jan) to England, f.w. Hong Kong QV 10c, tied by S1 obliterator, alongside with Shanghae BPO Webb type Ei (index A) cds. Showing "via Brindisi" annotation. Transit Hong Kong (26 Jan). Arrived Tavistock (28 Feb) and redirected to Plymouth. It is the earliest usage of type Ei cds as a datestamp along with S1 obliterator.

1883.1.17 上海寄英國，貼香港維多利亞女皇像10仙，銷S1殺手戳，旁鈐上海英局Webb Ei型（A字）日戳。寫有“via Brindisi”批示。1.26經香港。2.28抵Tavistock，改寄Plymouth。此為Ei型日戳與S1殺手戳配合使用之最早例子。
