1850 Canton (27 Sep) to France. Entire letter, rated "10" and sent "pr str Achilles", applied with scarce "CANTON / PAID" Webb type 1 h.s. on front with "CANTON" type 2 cds on reverse. Transit Hong Kong (28 Sep). Arrived Paris (18 Nov). It is the earliest recorded use of Canton Webb type 1 and 2 according to Webb and Dr. Andrew Cheung.
