1905 England (7 Nov) to Chefoo, redirected to Shanghai and Hsiangchow, f.w. KGV 1d, tied by Harrogate cds. Transit Chefoo BPO (23 Dec). In combintion with Coiling Dragon 2c, tied by Chefoo Chinese PO (23 Dec) cds. Redirecting to Shanghai and arrived on 6 Jan. Further redirected to Hsiangchow and f.w. Postage due 4c in pair, tied upon transit by Hankow (10 Jan) cds. On reverse with "Note. The man who taxed this letter does not understand postal business" annotation and the postage due stamps were crossed out and voided. Arrived Hsiangchow (13 Jan) and departed from Hsiangchow again on 16 Jan. 1st issue officially sealed label was affixed on reverse with Hankow (20 Jan) cds. The cover was sent to Hong Kong (17 Feb) with Victoria cds, DLO d.s. and Returned Letter Office d.s. Front and reverse rejoined for display. Extraordinary and important cover showcasing the earliest recorded usage of officially resealed label as well as errouenous levy of postage due and peculiar redirections. 2014 (13 Jan) Interasia Auction lot 3002.
1905.11.7 英國寄煙台,改寄上海及許州,貼佐治五世1便士,銷Harrogate日戳。12.23經煙台英局。貼蟠龍2分,銷煙台清郵12.23日戳。改寄上海,1.16抵達,再改寄許州。貼欠資票4分雙連,銷漢口1.10中轉戳。背面寫有“Note. The man who taxed this letter does not understand postal business”批注,欠資票被劃銷作廢。1.13抵許州,1.16離開。背貼第一版重封封條,鈐漢口1.20日戳。此封最終2.17抵香港,鈐維多利亞日戳、死信局及退信局日戳。此為記錄中最早之重封封條貼用例子,錯判欠資及多次改寄亦甚為難得。2014.1.13 Interasia Auction拍品號3002。前背面重接以作展示。
